le Lundi (Monday)

Tomorrow, I will have a post up about Paris. I promise! I just wanted to share this with you.

Today, I received the greatest compliment so far while studying abroad.

I was doing some errands and trying to get some information about this Eurail pass for Spring Break. I went to the Tourism Office and they sent me to the train station. Before I went there, the guy warned me. They don't speak any English.

I talked to one lady at the train station and she sent me to a different office.

So, I went to this office, picked out a lady who looked nice and began my conversation with her! A little bit into the conversation she asked me (in French) "Where are you from?" So I told her I was American, and then she asked me when I got here and I told her I arrived in January.

Then the words that came out of her mouth after that changed my life.

She said, "Vous parlez bien francais!"

Which means "You speak good French." Or "You speak French very well!"

So proud of myself. I could not have thanked her enough. I wish I could have climbed over the counter and given her a hug. Her compliment made my day.

I speak good French, ya'll.
