The Potters VS. Europe

My family arrived in France last Thursday. I raced to the airport right after my last final at school.

I was so emotional seeing my parents for the first time in five months! It feels so good to all be together again. We stayed in Aix for a couple days, went to Nice, then spent a week in Paris!

I would have posted while we were in Paris but we had no internet.

Today, we took a flight to Oslo, Norway! We are going to spend a few days here and a night in Bergen.

Thursday we will all be flying home. It has been an amazing past few months and I could not imagine ending this adventure with anyone else other than my family!

la dernière fois

the last time

I keep finding myself apologizing to all of you for not posting a lot recently, but I really have been so very busy. I have five finals in the next two days, written and oral tests.I went to Rome last weekend and hung out with my brother. My family arrives in two days. It is all winding down and it is so so bittersweet.

My time lately has been filled with studying, goodbye lunches/dinners, hugs, and reminiscing. I knew people said my time here would fly by, but I did not think it would go this fast.

I am beginning to pack of my room. I have accepted the very difficult challenge of packing five months of living into two suitcases. It is pretty hard. If you have any tips, let me know. Please.

I have been filling my time lately with my favorite things here. Which means croissants... These croissants... Man, these things are so good.

I guess all good things have to come to an end, right?

I am leaving Aix in just a few days. I am amazed at how much I have grown here. Everything has gone so well and I could have imagined it any other way.

My adventure is not over just yet, I still have a two week trip with my family whom I have missed to much!

Aix-en-Provence will always be my happy place.

Prague

While we were in Italy and Vienna we bought tram and metro tickets which we never needed. Ever. No one else was buying them either. I am warning you, if you ever go to Prague BUY A METRO TICKET. We got to Prague and everyone was just walking into the metro station and we did not see a place to buy tickets anyways so we decided to just do what everyone was doing! Bad idea. If you don't... You will get caught. You will have to pay 800 korunas which is about 32 euros. Also, it will not be fun.

Anyways!

Prague is one of the places that I have always seen pictures of and it has been on my bucket list of places to visit! It did not disappoint! Prague was absolutely beautiful.

The Astronomical Clock!

From Prague, I traveled all the way back to my home in the south of France all by myself! I took a plane from Prague to Paris, then the TGV train from Paris to Aix! It was a really tiring day but I was so proud of myself that I made it back to Aix all by myself!

Vienna, Austria

Vienna is BEAUTIFUL. I love Vienna. A lot.

We got to Vienna and we were really really tired. The night trains that we took were a really cool thing to experience but I prefer sleeping in a real bed. We did however have some very funny things happen while we were sleeping on the trains overnight.

We made a game out of who could find the longest word in German. I won.

We went to the oldest zoo in Europe!

We also went to Beethoven's house!
